Hoptown Idol will go on rain or shine Friday in Hopkinsville, and a back up plan has been established in the event of rain.
According to a news release from Parks and Recreation, if it rains or storms during the event set to begin at 6 p.m. then operations will move around the corner from Founders Square to the Venue on Main. The food trucks that will be on hand will also move to outside of the venue.
A final call for relocation will be made in the morning, based on weather information.
Superintendent Tab Brockman says, “We are hopeful the weather stays clear and that we are able to utilize Founder’s Square for tomorrow night’s festivities. We are grateful to the Venue on Main for being willing to accommodate us should the need arise, as no matter the weather, the show must go on!”
