A Murray woman has been charged in relation to a stolen vehicle in Hopkinsville.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, 41-year-old Stephanie Rogers of Murray was reportedly seen operating a vehicle on South Virginia Street Wednesday—the vehicle reportedly had a temporary registration that seemed to be altered and the rear windshield was broken out.
Upon contact with Rogers, she reportedly said she had borrowed the vehicle, but a check of the VIN showed the vehicle to be reported stolen out of Hopkinsville.
Contacted was made with the owner, who confirmed on scene that it was his vehicle and that it had been stolen.
Rogers was arrested and charged with felony receiving stolen property.
