Leon Grimes who was charged with murder in 2021 for the shooting of Calvin Buckner appeared in Christian County Circuit Court on Wednesday for a pretrial conference concerning case evidence.
Grimes’ attorney Ted Shouse is seeking evidence before the trial. Christian County Commonwealth Attorney, Stephanie Bolen provided Shouse with deadlines for when evidence will be available to the defense.
Bolen further mentioned pending case evidence that does not have a clear availability date due to still being out for testing.
Grimes is set for another pretrial conference on July 26 and is still set at this time for trial on July 31.
