A Hopkinsville woman has been charged with assault after she allegedly attacked her boyfriend with a knife early Sunday morning.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded to Jennie Stuart Medical Center around 12:30 a.m. for reports of a male victim who stated his girlfriend had cut his arm at a location on Hermitage Drive. The victim reported that 42-year-old Leah Torian of Hopkinsville has used a large butcher knife to slice his forearm during an altercation.
Torian was located at the residence of Hermitage and officers reportedly found the knife on scene. It also appeared that the residence at be cleaned of blood, along with the knife, but officers reportedly located some blood drops inside, along with several paper towels in a trash can that had blood on them.
Torian was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.
