The National Weather Service in Paducah issued nearly 200 severe storm related warnings over the weekend, and they’re putting out the call for weather reports.
Forecaster Rachel Trevino says it was a crazy amount of warnings that went out, most of the for damaging winds—but at least a few tornado warnings, with site surveys taking place in Lyon County where a confirmed spin-up tornado caused damage at the Twin Lakes campground.
She says they’re looking for the public’s help in gather weather data—so if you have pictures or videos of any storm damages or events, like wind or hail, people are asked to send that to the National Weather Service with the date and time it occurred.
That can be sent to pah.ops@noaa.gov, as they look compile data and do damage surveys for an event that spanned multiple states and caused a lot of damage.
