The Princeton Police Department has charged a man with child abuse following a disturbance at a residence on Emmett Street Saturday.
According to a news release, officers responded to a home in the 100 block of Emmett Street around 11 a.m. Saturday and investigation reportedly revealed that 28-year-old Patrick Woodruff of Princeton had grabbed a seven-year-old child around the throat, leaving marks.
Woodruff allegedly would not comply with officers while being taken into custody. He was charged with fourth-degree assault, child abuse and resisting arrest.
