The risk for severe weather continues Sunday, with Christian, Todd, Trigg and surrounding counties now under an enhanced risk.
That’s according to the National Weather Service in Paducah, which says that while some people have seen storms already this morning, another round of thunderstorms will develop in the early afternoon hours and continue into the early evening hours.
Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and large hail the primary threats, but a spin-up tornado cannot be ruled out.
The good news is the region is set to get a break from stormy weather for Monday and Tuesday, with only some scattered rain chances on the Fourth of July.
Stayed tuned to the WHOP Family of Stations for any watches or warnings that develop due to this storm system.
