A storm that was possibly tornadic in nature caused extensive damage to the Twin Lakes Campground in Lyon County.
According to a preliminary report from the National Weather Service in Paducah, numerous campers were destroyed and trees were downed—witnesses reported seeing a funnel cloud and the damages line up with probably tornadic debris signatures in northern Land Between the Lakes.
There were also reports of several trees down across the lake in Marshall County near Moors. Further investigation is underway.
