Saturday is the final night of this year’s Western Kentucky State Fair, and it will feature truck and tractor pulls, rides and wrestling.
It’s been a strong year for the local fair, with thousands of attendees each night and Fair Board Chair Brad Hewell says none of it would be possible without their many sponsors and volunteers.
The Mid-South Truck and Tractor Pulls will wrap up the fair, returning to the grandstands track at 7 p.m., and that’s when UCW Wrestling will be in the air-conditioned convention center. Pedal Pull competitions are back in from on the convention center and the petting zoo will be in the livestock pavilion one more time.
Rides open at 4 p.m. and on Saturday rides will be free from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m.—after that, it’s a $30 unlimited ride armband night.
Attendance has been up slightly so far this year, with roughly 37,800 recorded so far, with Hewell saying the hope to have a strong final night to wrap things up. Storms did run some people off Friday night, with 4,778 attending.
