The threat of severe weather remains for the weekend, as the bulk of western Kentucky is under an enhanced risk for severe storms for Saturday afternoon and evening.
The National Weather Service in Paducah says this stormy event will likely be more widespread than Friday’s event, but will feature the same hazards–damaging wind, large hail, frequent lightning and heavy rainfall. Storms look mostly likely to fire in the afternoon into the evening hours. Some areas could see multiple rounds of storms.
Stormy weather continues Sunday, as all of Kentucky is in a slight risk for severe weather. Stay tuned to the WHOP Family of Stations and our social media outlets for more information on this developing storm system.
