The Pennyrile Allied Community Services Inc. is one of several rural Kentucky agencies that have received grant funding to support their transit services.
Governor Andy Beshear made the announcement Thursday, says that 10 agencies have been approved to receive funding, including PACS, which serves Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Livingston, Logan, Lyon, Muhlenberg, Todd and Trigg counties.
The funding will be used to modernize bus and wheelchair van fleets and make other essential upgrades to facilities and equipment. PACS will use the funds to construct a new transit administration/maintenance facility.
