A Tennessee man was served with numerous charges and is facing local charges after investigation into a stolen vehicle Wednesday night.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded to the area of Evergreen Park Drive and Glass Avenue after a Flock camera indicated on a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was parked nearby and they made contact with 22-year-old Joiyne Robinson of La Vergne, Tennessee, who reportedly gave them a false name and date of birth at first.
During the investigation, he reportedly revealed where the keys to the vehicle were hidden. He was arrested and charged with felony receiving stolen property, tampering with physical evidence and giving officers a false identifying information.
He was then additionally served with warrants out of Barren County for fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, first-degree criminal mischief, receiving stolen property, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and several traffic violations.
