It’s Military and First Responders Day at the WKSF

It’s Military and First Responders Day at the Western Kentucky State Fair.

That means free admission for active-duty military, dependents, veterans and first responders with ID, and those same folks will have unlimited ride armbands at $10—it’s a $20 armband night for fair-goers.  Fair Board Chair Brad Hewell says they are still cash only at the fair, but they have ATMs on site for convenience.

There will be pedal pull competitions in front of the convention center and it will be Mini-Outlaw Pulls in the grandstands at 7 p.m. Helicopter rides are back at the fair at $25 per person. Hewell says they continue ahead of last year’s pace for attendance, with 4,203 visitors to the fair on Tuesday night.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and for a full schedule of events, go online to westernkentuckystatefair.org.
