After delays, years of planning and a lot of time and effort, the ribbon was officially cut for the new Todd County Extension Office on Pond River Road in Elkton.
Chairman of the Todd County Extension Board of Directors Barry Rager says this has been a very long time coming—he’s served on the board for about 20 years and is sure they’ve been talking about having their own office for at least 19 of those. This has allowed them to move from the Todd County Courthouse and will be allow them to serve the public.
Rager says they’re grateful for the support they’ve received from donors, and they couldn’t be happier.
He says the work isn’t done—sometime down the line, they intend to add an outdoor arena and a pavilion.
There were plenty of folks on hand for the ribbon cutting, and they got a chance to tour the new office spaces, which are located at 240 Pond River Road.
