Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation is putting out the call for those with vocal talent, as the third annual Hoptown Idol is coming up in July.
Superintendent Tab Brockman says there are some wickedly talented performers in Hopkinsville and they’re looking to see them meet in competition on July 14—if you think you have the skills, you can submit a video audition at hoptownrec.com.
They’ll have a panel of judges from across the music and entertainment industry.
There will be 20 open mic auditions at the event, with four qualifiers to be chosen from that and four qualifiers from the auditions submitted online. Contenders will compete for the chance to win $500 and a two-hour professional recording session.
