A local student will serve as an intern this summer with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.
Braden Porter of Gracey, the son of Wesley and Lori Porter, will be a senior this fall at the University of Kentucky, where he is working toward a double major in finance and agricultural economics, and a minor in business.
He will work as intern under Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture Dr. Ryan Quarles. The Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s eight-week summer internship program has provided opportunities for students to gain first-hand experience, knowledge, and understanding of the governmental process through pre-professional work in various occupational fields.
