A vehicle pursuit that began on Interstate 69 in Hopkins County Tuesday afternoon ended with the arrests of two men on several charges.

Madisonville police attempted to stop 24-year old Aaron Sisk of Nortonville on the suspicion of being impaired near the 117 mile-marker of I-69 about 12:30 p.m. and an arrest citation says he refused to stop and made a u-turn to head the south.

Police saw a plastic bag being thrown from the driver’s side window and the car became disabled after crashing into railroad embankment on Mortons Gap Road.

Sisk attempted to flee on foot, but was soon arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, reckless driving, trafficking in methamphetamine, trafficking in synthetic drugs and DUI.

Police say they recovered the tossed bag and it contained meth and synthetic marijuana.

A passenger, 55-year old Kenneth Lock of Mortons Gap, was also arrested for meth trafficking.
