One of the suspects who took a plea deal for his role in the armed home invasion at the Glass Avenue residence of Charles “Bird Dog” Paige was sentenced to 10 years in prison Wednesday.
Attorney Jason Holland argued that Korey Zivotin is a changed man from his previous conduct, but Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Bolen reminded that Zivotin was out on probation on the night of the Bird Dog robbery.
He had previously taken a plea deal for his role in a 2019 home invasion on Short Bethel Street, when a 16-year old Zivotin shot a man in the leg and another suspect fatally shot Corvyan Thomas.
Judge John Atkins ruled in favor of the Commonwealth, revoking Zivotin’s probation and sentencing him to 10 years in prison.
Multiple co-defendants have also accepted plea deals in the home invasion and others are set for trial on October 30.
