With the return of the Western Kentucky State Fair at the end of June comes the return of the Miss Western Kentucky State Fair pageant and contestants are being sought.
Longtime organizer Carolyn Ann Cobb says the deadline to sign-up is June 16 and coming up fast so she urges women between the ages of 16 and 22 to sign up now—they will need a sponsorship to take part.
She says there are some requirements the participants must follow, and those can all be found on the Western Kentucky State Fair website.
There are three judges for the event, with all of them from out-of-state in the effort of fairness.
The pageant itself takes place June 24 and it won’t be the only one taking place at the fair this year—there will also be the traditional youth pageants, the Mrs. Western Kentucky State Fair, and more.
