Florida trailed 2-1 in the third period until Matthew Tkachuk [[ kuh-CHUCK ]] netted the equalizer with about two minutes left to force OT. Carter Verhaeghe [[ ver-HAY-gee ]] buried the game winner just four minutes and 27 seconds into overtime to secure a 3-2 victory. Brandon Montour also scored for Florida while Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 25-of-27 shots. Mark Stone and Jonathan Marchessault (mar-SHUH-show) each scored for Vegas, which still leads the best of seven series 2-1. Game Four takes place in Sunrise tomorrow night.

(Miami, FL) — The NBA Finals continue tonight in South Beach. The Miami Heat will host the Denver Nuggets at the Kaseya Center for Game Four of the 2023 NBA Finals. The Nuggets enter with a 2-1 series lead after a commanding 109-94 victory in Game Three on Wednesday in Miami. Denver star center Nikola Jokic finished with 32 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists in the win. Jamal Murray added a triple-double of his own with 34 points, 10 boards and 10 assists. Miami guard Tyler Herro has yet to be cleared in his return from a broken hand and has already been ruled out for the contest.

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Vikings are moving on from their star running back. ESPN reports Dalvin Cook is going to be released by the team. Adam Schefter says the Miami Dolphins are expected to be a landing spot for Cook. The 27-year-old was going to make just over 14-million-dollars against the cap this season. He was selected by Minnesota in round two of the 2017 draft. The four-time Pro Bowler rushed for just under six-thousand yards and 47 touchdowns in six seasons with the Vikings. Alexander Mattison is expected to take over as Minnesota’s starting running back.

Oklahoma took down the Florida State on Thursday night to complete a two-game sweep of the World Series Championship. The Sooners won 3-1 after taking back a 1-0 lead from the Seminoles in the fifth inning, scoring two runs and then one more in the sixth. The win capped off a 53-game winning streak and gave Oklahoma their third straight championship.
