An early-morning vehicle pursuit in Hopkinsville ended with the arrest of the driver on multiple charges.
Hopkinsville police attempted to make a traffic stop on 26-year old Kenneth Wilfong of Oklahoma for equipment violations about 4 a.m. in the area of West Seventh and Ninth Street, but Wilfong allegedly kept driving and ran several stop signs as he traveled through the area.
The arrest citation says he eventually drove into a field behind Christian County Middle School and struck a police cruiser before eventually getting out of the car.
Wilfong allegedly refused to comply with officers and was tased to be brought into custody.
He was arrested and charged with DUI, first-degree wanton endangerment, felony criminal mischief, reckless driving and several other offenses.
