A Texas man who allegedly threatened people outside the Hopkinsville Best Western early Sunday morning was arrested.
The arrest citation for 34-year old Cordell McGregor of Baytown, Texas says officers were notified of a man threatening guests at the hotel with a pistol and HPD Chief Jason Newby arrived about 2:30 a.m. and witnessed McGregor threaten to shoot another man near his vehicle.
Police say there was an odor of alcohol and marijuana coming from McGregor’s person and a search of his vehicle allegedly revealed marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an open bottle of liquor.
McGregor allegedly struggled with staff at the jail, requiring them to have to tase him.
He’s charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, terroristic threatening, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, public intoxication and DUI.
