The Christian County Animal Shelter welcomed in big crowds for the first ever Dog Days of Summer event the past several days.
There were vendor booths, food trucks and animals up for adoption during the event that spanned Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and Director Irene Grace says it was all a good time, and she couldn’t thank everyone enough for their support.
She says all money raised by the event will benefit the shelter’s Get ‘Em Done program, which gets cats and dogs spayed or neutered before they leave the facility.
The Animal Shelter is always accepting of donations and they’ve had an influx of adoptable animals come in recently, from puppies to kittens, to adult pets as well, so people are invited to come see if their future family member is there, awaiting adoption.
