For immediate release:

Following the retirement of Coach Willis, we’re excited to announce that Coach Lloyd Young will be promoted from within to take over the varsity team and to oversee the entire soccer program. This will be Coach Young’s second season with us in a coaching capacity. He was the head man for our middle school teams during the fall and spring seasons.

We’re excited to see the direction that Coach Young will take our soccer program as we begin our first season as full members of the KHSAA.

Coach Young was born in West Germany where he played as a young child and developed a love for the game. He has been married to his wife Shannon for 26 years. He is USAF veteran achieving the rank of Ssgt.

Coach Young’s oldest child Jacob played goalie for HCA for seven years. Jacob will be a Junior this fall at Murray State. His daughter Emilie is a recent HCA graduate and played six seasons for HCA. Emilie is committed to play at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri in the fall.

Coach Young has a plethora of coaching experience in travel (WDQ & CSC) teams. He holds F, E, D, and C (provisional) licenses through USSF.
