A Hopkinsville woman has been charged with second-degree assault after she allegedly stabbed a man with a screwdriver.

According to the Hopkinsville Police Department report, the incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday when 21-year-old Zara Matlock of Hopkinsville stabbed the male victim in the stomach with a torx screwdriver, causing a laceration to his stomach.

Matlock was arrested, charged with second-degree assault and lodged in the Christian County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
