HOPKINSVILLE, KY (May 25, 2023). Hopkinsville High School Athletic Director Blake Leach has announced Roger Volk will be the next head coach for the Tigers Cross Country team.
Volk has been involved with track and cross country in the Hopkinsville community for the past several years. He has served as an assistant coach with HHS for the past two years.
“We are excited Coach Volk will continue to grow our cross-country program,” said HHS Athletic Director, Blake Leach.
With his knowledge and relationships he has built for the sport, we are excited
to see his influence on the Hopkinsville High School cross country team.”
Volk will lead the Tiger cross-country program following the sudden passing of Coach Pablo Sanchez earlier this year.
Sanchez was an avid runner and had coached the Tiger program since 2017 when he came to Hopkinsville High as a teacher.
