A toddler was severely injured in an accident involving a lawn mower Thursday afternoon near Fairview in Todd County.
It happened about 4 p.m. in the 900 block of B. Hall Road and Marc Hampton of the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department says the two-year old girl got too close to a lawn mower that was being operated by a parent.
She sustained a severe foot injury, was treated on scene by Todd County EMS and then flown by Air Evac to a Nashville hospital.
Hampton says the girl appeared to be in stable condition.
The Todd County Sheriff’s Office and Rescue Squad also assisted at the scene.
