After 16 seasons as a high school basketball coach Jon Newton has announced on Facebook that he is stepping down as Head Boys Basketball coach at Madisonville North-Hopkins High School. Newton was an assistant coach at Hopkinsville High and Head Coach at Webster Co. for 9 seasons before taking the Head Coaching position at Madisonville-North in 2020. In his post he says “the time has come for me to commit 100% to my family”.
