Leadership Hopkinsville-Christian County graduated the 27 members of the Class of 2023 Thursday morning at Hopkinsville Community College.
Jason Wilson of the Christian County Public School System was the class speaker and says the group bonded over the last year and learned from each other.
This year’s class presented a $1,000 grant to the Christian County Humane Society and while making improvements to Men2Be’s house where kids can receive tutoring and other help, Wilson says the scope of the project was made larger when one of many severe storms this year damaged the structure.
This year’s class has raised over $12,000 for Men2Be.
The class chose Mandy Guffey of Little Caesars Pizza for the Sherry Jeffers Spirit of Leadership Award and she called it a true honor.
Applications are being accepted through June 1 for next year’s Leadership class.
