Heritage Christian Academy graduated its Class of 2023 Thursday night at the Bruce Convention Center.
Twenty-seven warriors graduated in total, though Emanuel Diaz, Jr. received his diploma a little early on May 4 so he could head to basic training in the U.S. Army.
This year’s class was awarded a total of just over $786,000 in scholarships and that’s not including the state KEES money.
The 2023 Warriors of the year are Trevor Gibson, Elle Heltsley, Landon Porter and McKenzi Travis.
HCA presented Academic Excellence Awards to Heltsley, Porter, Travis, Liana Carr, Harrison Shipp and Emille Young—each who had a GPA of greater than a 4.0.
Jacob Bottoms, who is a National Merit finalist headed to the University of Louisville to major in biology, is the class valedictorian.
The class salutatorian is Miranda Brown, who will attend Suffolk University in Boston to major in English.
