Residents of Pembroke are coming together to support a friend in need with a fundraiser event and they’re hoping many folks will help.
State Representative Myron Dossett of Pembroke says Tim Downs of Pembroke has a brain tumor and a group of his friends are coming together to smoke Boston Butts and whole chickens to sell on June 2.
If you want to purchase a Boston Butt for $45 or a chicken for $12, you can call Dossett or one of the other organizers and make an order ahead of time.
Dossett says you can write the check to Pembroke Baptist Church and they’ll get the money to Downs and his wife.
Orders must be submitted by Thursday, June 1.
