About a mile and a half of I-24 at the state line in Christian County will be resurfaced on both sides, beginning Monday and a work zone will be set up ahead of time.
A Kentucky Transportation Cabinet contractor will be performing the milling and paving work from May 22 through June 2, though the project will take a break for the Memorial Day weekend.
The contractor, Rogers Group, will use a “queue warning alert system,” which uses portable message boards and real-time traffic data to warn drivers that they’re approaching a work zone and let them know if traffic is backed up.
