A more summer-like weather pattern has settled into western Kentucky and there don’t appear to be any major storm systems in the forecast in the foreseeable future.
Meteorologist Justin Gibbs with the National Weather Service in Paducah says there will be pop-up storms here and there through Tuesday afternoon, but they aren’t expecting any outbreaks of severe weather.
There’s a marginal risk for a severe storm or two through Tuesday and a slow-moving storm could cause some flash flooding in the usual places, but any problems won’t be widespread.
High temperatures this week will be in the upper 70’s to lower 80’s and the humidity will make it feel hotter—especially early this week.
