A man was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center early Sunday morning with a gunshot wound to the leg following a shooting incident on East 14th Street.
The call of shots fired came out around 1:45 a.m. in the area of Walnut Street and East 14th Street, and Hopkinsville Fire Department Lt. Payton Rogers says one patient, identified by HPD as Benjamin Murray of Hopkinsville, was found with a suspected gunshot wound to his lower right leg.
He was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center in stable condition.
According to a Hopkinsville Police Department report, there was a large group of people in the area at the time of the incident who were all put at risk. No suspects are listed on the report and the investigation continues.
