Hopkinsville’s 7th Annual Touch a Truck is Saturday at Debow Park and it’s an opportunity for young ones to get up close with a fire truck, ambulance, police car or several other types of large vehicles.
Toby Hudson with Parks and Recreation says it goes from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the park off Thomas Street and from noon until 1 there will not be any sirens or horns to accommodate anyone with noise sensitivity.
Tab Brockman says there will also be hot dogs, snow cones and other fun and family-friendly activities.
The event will be go in in light rain, but will be postponed until June 3 if there’s lightning, with notice to be given on the Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
