Kentucky State Auditor and gubernatorial hopeful Mike Harmon made a stop in Hopkinsville Thursday as Primary Election Day draws close.
Speaking with WHOP News, Harmon—who is running as a Republican—says he feels that he and his team have run a solid campaign and he thinks he has a good chance on Tuesday, which is Election Day.
If he were to win election and take office as Governor, Harmon says his top three priorities are reducing the state income tax eventually down to zero, refocusing the importance of students in the education system, and making sure no part of Kentucky feels forgotten.
Harmon says he hopes people will consider casting a vote for him when they go to the polls, saying he has the experience to make real change and has been doing so for many years.
Harmon is facing a crowded Republican ballot on Tuesday, including Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles, Attorney General Daniel Cameron, former United States Ambassador to the United Nations Kelly Craft, Somerset Mayor Alan Keck and a slew of other opponents, all hoping to become the Republican nominee for governor.
