Investigation by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Crime Unit Wednesday led to the recovery of a stolen truck and trailer and to the arrest of a local man.
A news release says Detective Charlie Fiscella was traveling on Goode Road and observed a truck pulling a dump trailer, neither of which had registration.
He conducted a traffic stop on 35-year-old Anthony Mixon of Hopkinsville, who was operating a 2012 Ford F-550 service truck pulling a 16-foot PJ dump trailer.
A check of the VIN number of the trailer revealed it had been stolen out of Robertson County, Tennessee and was valued over $15,000. A check of the truck showed that it was stolen in Christian County and was also valued at over $15,000.
Mixon was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear and was also charged with two counts of receiving stolen property over $10,000.
