An investigation at a vacant South Virginia Street home Tuesday afternoon led to the arrest of a man on a burglary charge.
Hopkinsville police officers were dispatched to a home in the 2300 block of South Virginia about 5:40 p.m. to do a building check after a neighbor noticed someone going inside and an arrest citation says they found 22-year old Ian Wright of Hopkinsville allegedly trying to hide under a blanket in the residence.
Wright claimed to have permission from the owner of the home to be there, but the owner said that was not true.
Wright was arrested and charged with burglary in the second-degree.
