Relay For Life went to the dogs Saturday afternoon, as Bark for Life took over the Pardue Lane dog park in Hopkinsville to raise money for the cause.
People and their furry pals were able to take part in contests—ranging from cutest dog, to best trick, to owner look-a-likes—while looking to see if they wanted a new family member, as several agencies were on hand with adoptable dogs. Pam Futrell with Relay says they were very happy with the turnout and it’s all in the name of raising money to support those battling cancer.
Relay For Life itself will take place August 18 at the Hopkinsville Sportsplex and Futrell says there’s still plenty of time to assemble a team or get involved in other ways.
If you’re looking to donate to the cause, you can contact Futrell by calling 270-498-1778. Attendees and their dogs Saturday got a chance to take home prizes and got to see a Hopkinsville Police Department K9 show off their skills.
