>>Report: Jordan Love And Packers Reach Extension

(Green Bay, WI)  — The Packers have reached an extension with their new quarterback.  ESPN reports Jordan Love and Green Bay agreed to a one-year deal worth up to 22-and-a-half-million dollars.  The extension includes 13-and-a-half-million in guaranteed money. Love has just one career start, which was a 13-7 loss to the Chiefs in Kansas City back in 2021.

 

>>Chiefs Decline Edwards-Helaire’s Fifth-Year Option

(Kansas City, MO)  — The Chiefs have made a decision on the future of one of their offensive playmakers.  Kansas City has declined to exercise the fifth-year option on running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s rookie contract.  The 24-year-old back was taken with the 32nd overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of LSU.  He has played in just 10 games the past two seasons and has totaled 11 touchdowns in his career.  In another move, the Chiefs officially re-signed running back Jerick McKinnon.

 

>>Former Las Vegas Raiders Player To Plead Guilty In DUI Crash

(Las Vegas, NV)  — A former Las Vegas Raiders player will plead guilty to charges connected to a deadly 2021 crash.  Henry Ruggs the Third reached a plea agreement with prosecutors and will serve between three and ten years in prison if a judge accepts the deal.  Police said Ruggs was speeding up to 156 miles per hour on a residential road in November 2021 when he crashed into another car, killing the driver and a dog in the vehicle.  Ruggs’ blood alcohol level was twice Nevada’s legal limit, according to police.

 

>>Taylor Lewan Sues Over ACL Surgery

(Nashville, TN)  — A former Titans offensive tackle is suing the team.  Taylor Lewan spoke on his “Bussin with the Boys” podcast yesterday and announced the lawsuit against team doctors.  He said there are, “Things going on with my knee now that are a direct correlation to what happened when I got my knee done in 2020.”  The tackle tore his ACL in Week Six of that season and made a return in 2021.  However, Lewan said doctors didn’t do the surgery properly which has led to more issues.
