Motorcyclist flown to Vanderbilt following Parkway accident

A motorcyclist was flown to a Nashville hospital following an accident Saturday morning on the Pennyrile Parkway in Christian County.

It happened on the northbound side just before 11 a.m. near the 9 mile-marker and Hopkinsville Fire Department Lt. Payton Rogers says the man was taken to a LifeFlight helicopter and flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office investigated and says the biker had been traveling with a group of motorcyclists when it appears he lost control on wet pavement in a slick spot.

His motorcycle went into the median and he was ejected.

The man’s name has not been released, but police say he’s from Tennessee.
