Hopkinsville police have released details on an accident involving a school bus from Friday morning.
The collision report from HPD says 55-year old Chiquita Pearce of Hopkinsville was driving the bus southbound on South Main Street about 6:45 a.m. and 44-year old Bento Bautista of Hopkinsville was westbound on West 14th Street.
Bautista said his light turned red as he reached the intersection and he tried to stop, but the trailer he was hauling pushed his pickup into the intersection.
The truck and bus collided with Pearce and the bus monitor, 49-year old Tamara Payne of Hopkinsville, taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for neck and back pain.
There were no students on the bus.
Bautista and his passengers were not hurt.
