Unemployment fell in all nine Pennyrile counties from February to March.
Christian County’s jobless rate was 4.5 percent, down from 5.1 percent in February and down three tenths from a year ago. It equated to 1,118 people who were looking for work and unable to find it.
Todd County now has the third-lowest unemployment rate in the Pennyrile at 3.7 percent, down from 3.9 percent in February and up from 3.3 percent a year ago.
The jobless rate in Trigg County was 4.6 percent, down seven-tenths from February and down a tenth from March of last year.
Kentucky’s jobless rate was 3.8 percent last month and the national average was 3.6 percent.
