New trial date set for King’s Court murder suspect

A new trial date was scheduled Wednesday morning in Christian Circuit Court for the man accused of the 2018 murder of Tamara Dragoo at the King’s Court Motel on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

After discussion between Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Bolen, defense attorney Michael Thommpson—who represents 33-year old Terrence Stepp—and Judge John Atkins, the judge encouraged the parties to get together and determine what evidence the defense may still need and to then file any motions that may still be necessary.

Judge Atkins scheduled a May 17 hearing to consider Thompson’s motion to reduce Stepp’s bond and set trial for October 16.

Stepp has been in jail on the murder charge since June of 2020.
