JTEKT, formerly Douglas Autotech, celebrates name change with ribbon cutting

Douglas Autotech Corporation has a new name, but JTEKT Column Systems North America Corporation intends to keep providing the quality services they’ve been known for for many years.

A ribbon cutting was held Wednesday afternoon commemorating the new moniker, and Christian County Judge Executive Jerry Gilliam says he’s grateful that they chose to call Christian County home, and many of their employees call this area home.

President Matt Hauret says they’re one of the top producers of automotive supplies in the world, and they plan to keep the momentum going to become stronger than ever.

Although the company’s main products have become steering columns and shifters throughout the company’s long history, they have produced a multitude of products over the years including electrical light switches, gasoline engines, battery chargers, console radios and even vacuum cleaners.
