(Pittsburgh, PA) — The Reds got swept by the Pirates after a 2-0 loss in Pittsburgh. Hunter Greene got saddled with the loss after surrendering a run on four hits over six innings. Wil Myers had two of Cincy’s four hits. The team dropped to 7-and-15 and is still last in the NL Central. Cincinnati opens a three-game series with the Rangers at home tonight. Nick Lodolo takes the mound while Nathan Eovaldi gets the nod for Texas.

(Seattle, WA) — The Cardinals avoided a three-game sweep in Seattle after crushing the Mariners 7-3 in the series finale at T-Mobile Park. Nolan Gorman clubbed a three-run homer, while Lars Nootbaar and Paul DeJong hit solo shots for St. Louis. Jack Flaherty tossed six innings of three-run ball as he evened his record at 2-and-2. The Cardinals remain in fourth-place in the NL Central at 9-and-13. Jordan Montgomery takes the hill for St. Louis against the Giants in San Francisco tonight.
