Temperatures will warm up this week before rain Thursday, but next week is looking to be unusually cold for this time of year.
During the weekly weather conference call, Meteorologist Derrick Snyder with the National Weather Service in Paducah said high temperatures will be in the upper 70’s to lower 80’s Tuesday through Thursday.
With an inch to an inch and a half of rain expected Thursday, flooding isn’t a major concern, but a few flash flooding issues may arise if storms were to train over the same locations.
There are strong indications next week will be cooler than average and Snyder says frost won’t be out of the question.
While severe weather could happen in southeast Missouri Thursday, it’s looking now like western Kentucky will avoid severe storms this week.
