Police say Princeton man pointed gun at woman after assaulting her

A Princeton man is facing several charges after he allegedly assaulted a woman and pointed a gun at her during an alleged incident Monday morning on Garrett Street in Princeton.

Officers from the Princeton Police Department were called to the location for a disturbance involving a gun and a news release says witnesses told investigators that 29-year old Dustin Faughn of Princeton pointed the gun at the victim after assaulting her and that he damaged her vehicle as she fled the scene.

Faughn allegedly tried to get away from police when they arrived and was found hiding under a bed inside the home, where a gun was on the floor.

He was taken into custody and jerked away once outside, but was soon located and arrested.

He’s charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a felon, fleeing or evading police, escape, assault in the fourth-degree and felony criminal mischief.
