>Simmons Talks About Extension

(Nashville, TN)  —  A key member of the Titans defense is talking about his contract extension.  Jeffery Simmons spoke to the media yesterday about his four-year, 94-million-dollar deal to keep him in Tennessee.  The defensive lineman said, “I’m grateful, I’m excited, and I never saw myself wearing anything but the two-tone blue.”  Simmons was selected 19th overall in the 2019 draft.

>>Colts Shifting Focus Away From Lamar Jackson

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Colts are focusing on the NFL Draft.  Head coach Shane Steichen addressed the media for the first time since the start of his team’s offseason program, and referred to the draft when he was asked about their pursuit of free agent quarterback Lamar Jackson.  Indianapolis has been linked to Jackson, who was franchised by the Baltimore Ravens but can negotiate with other teams.  The Colts have the fourth overall pick and have conducted workouts with top quarterback prospects CJ Stroud, Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson and Will Levis.

>>Grizzlies Prepare For Lakers

(Memphis, TN)  —  The Grizzlies are beginning preparations for their first-round playoff opponent.  Memphis will face the Lakers in the first of a seven-game series Sunday afternoon at FedEx Forum.  LA earned the seventh seed after beating the Timberwolves in the play-in game.  The Grizzlies secured the second seed after finishing the regular season 51-and-31.  Meanwhile, Warriors forward Draymond Green is, unsurprisingly, picking Los Angeles to win the series.

>>Predators Host Wild Tonight

(Nashville, TN)  —  The Predators will try to take their anger out on the Wild tonight in Nashville.  The team was eliminated from playoff contention after the Jets beat Minnesota earlier in the week.  The Preds trail Winnipeg by five points and only have two games left to play.  Nashville finishes the regular season with another home game against the Avalanche tomorrow night.

(Hilton Head Island, SC)  —  Jordan Spieth will be looking to capture a second consecutive crown at the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in South Carolina.  Spieth won last year’s tournament after beating Patrick Cantlay in a playoff.  The 29-year-old will be teeing off alongside Adam Scott and reigning Masters champion Jon Rahm.  Troy Merritt, David Lipsky and Ben Taylor will be among the first group of players to open the tournament.
