Fair Housing Month continues across the nation and here locally, there will be a workshop focused on helping people purchase their first home.
The Free Homebuyer’s Workshop will provide the knowledge needed to start on the path to home ownership, and offer resources on how to make it a reality. Nikki Chambers with the local NAACP says it will take place April 22 starting at 10 a.m. at the Christian County Sheriff’s Office on West Seventh Street.
She says the event is free to attend and will have food available, and people can hear from numerous individuals with the knowledge they need.
